Why is my Mach 5 pump going into a flashing alarm? - Mach-5

This is a cycling alarm. It is caused by excessive cycling of the pump on and off. You can try following the following troubleshooting procedure or watching the video here. https://youtu.be/DNT8hBoN1Xw 1. Make sure water tank(s) are full. 2. While you have water pressure, go to the accumulator tank(s) and press on the Schrader valve. If only air comes out, the accumulator(s) are ok. If water comes out of the Schrader valve, you need to replace the accumulator as the internal bladder has failed. 3. Now, turn off the pump(s) and shore water (if any) and open four to six faucets (and leave them open). 4. If you have any kind of whole boat water filtration system, replace or remove the filter elements. Inspect the pumps inlet strainer and ensure it is clean. 5. Adjust the accumulator pre charge to 38psi. 6. Now turn on one pump. As soon as you get good water flow from the faucets, close all of them. 7. If the pump builds pressure and turns off (without alarm light), you are good to go. If the problem comes back within hours or days without running out of water, you have a suction leak. Most suction leaks are the hose barb on the pump or the hose barbs on the strainer basket. 8. If the pump immediately goes into alarm, this is also an indication of a suction leak.
